The Toronto International Film Festival is fast approaching, TIFF runs from September 9th to 19th and is now one of the most sought after film festival in the world. This year marks the 35th Anniversary of the Toronto International Film Festival. On Wednesday, July 28 organizers announced many of the Galas and Special Presentations for the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival.

The Toronto International Film Festival opens September 9 with the world premiere Gala Presentation of Score: A Hockey Musical, written and directed by Michael McGowan.

Today TIFF  announces a wealth of Canadian features including highly anticipated new works by acclaimed Canadian filmmakers Denis Villeneuve, Bruce McDonald, Xavier Dolan, Jacob Tierney, Louis Bélanger and William D. MacGillivray, Sturla Gunnarsson, Ingrid Veninger, and Carl Bessai and on screen appearances by Molly Parker, Jay Baruchel, Don McKellar, Scott Speedman, Jill Hennessy, David Suzuki, Martha Plimpton, Peter Stormare, Jennifer Beals, Emily Hampshire, Jean Lapointe, Guylaine Tremblay, Harvey Keitel, Jason Jones, Scott Caan, Tricia Helfer and the late Tracy Wright.

Some of the big Stars that are expected to be at the Toronto International Film Festival range from rock stars like Bruce Springsteen to former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, with a lot of Hollywood whose who mixed in.  Actors like Colin Farrell, Alec Baldwin, Kate Beckinsale, Liam Neeson, Matt Damon, Peter O’Toole, Edward Norton, Steve McQueen, John Malkovich and the list goes on.

With event and festivals like TIFF being held downtown Toronto, it is convenient for me to park my car at my Toronto office space downtown and take public transit to the film festival events that I have tickets for.
