Office Space

R.I.P. Jack Layton

Today at my office space Toronto the topic of conversation was a sad one. Early this morning people heard of the passing of Jack Layton. Jack had a second fight with prostate cancer and the news of Jack Layton’s passing early Monday morning dealt a particularly heavy blow to the millions of Canadians who have fought, or who continue to struggle, with their own battles with cancer.

Jack Layton was a great Canadian who lobbied for the little guy and encouraged small businesses to also achieve greatness. Toronto and the rest of Canada will miss his love for this country.

When Jack Layton became the Official Leader of the Opposition, he became the first NDP leader to become the Leader of the Opposition and the first NDP leader to take residence at Stornoway, surpassing the good work of Ed Broadbent when he was leader of the NDP party.

Rest In Peace Jack
