Ian came up with an idea to ask our followers to send us photos of their favorite office wherever their office is.
As we mentioned in our previous blog Technological Advances in VoIP, VoIP is evolving, and as it does your company has to consider when you are ready for VoIP and when will it suit your organizational needs. Voice over Internet Protocol communication is maturing. Just as high-speed Internet becomes cheap and ubiquitous, an increasing number of businesses are ditching conventional landlines and jumping to VoIP. Before you make that jump, you also need to make sure that you are 100% ready. The concept of VoIP sounds almost magical and the hype makes it sound more flexible, more full-featured, and best of all, significantly cheaper than placing your calls through traditional telephone service providers on existing equipment. You have to ask yourself if is VoIP really all it’s cracked up to be? Are the potential risks and pitfalls worth the potential monetary payoffs? This blog will discuss the pros and cons and take a look at some […]
To Begin with, lets start with "what is VoIP"? The first thing we should tell you is that the acronym VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. It is also referred to as IP Telephony or Internet Telephony.
Just as we mentioned the importance of our Toronto office space senior staff Attending Conventions and Seminars to help us Serve you Better, it is also important for you as well to attend conventions and trade meetings with those in your industry or supply chain. In many instances, you do not need to be a member to attend a convention of a professional or trade association – you can request to be an observer so that you can learn more about the benefits of membership. Trade or professional membership in an industry association offers many benefits that keep business owner members on top of important, ever-changing issues, trends and government involvement within their market. Many people believe that one of the greatest benefits of being a member in an association is the business networking and camaraderie that goes on among members. There is a great, quick read on the Intuit blog for […]
While many condominium project or existing condominium buildings do not make a point of advertising as being family or children friendly, many are and the developer or building management do not even know it
We wanted to talk some specific benefits for small business owners who have downtown Toronto office space in choosing also to live downtown Toronto
Continuing with our series of blog entry’s about creating and implementing data storage and back-up plans, we thought we should also share some information about how you can reduce the amount of data that you need to back-up. In our last blog Have You Considered Hybrid Data Storage Solutions we discussed ways to cost effectively store your data while optimizing the speed at which you could use your data. So just how can you reduce the amount of data you are backing up? One way you can reduce the amount and size of the data you need to back up is by implementing data deduplication. Yes, that is not a commonly used word outside of IT circles, but it is one that you will hear more and more as you learn to manage your data. We actually first heard the term last year when a office for rent Toronto tenant asked us if we […]
As we continue our blog series “Has Your Small Business Planned Your Data Storage and Backup Strategy?” that discusses the importance of small business to have a solid plan for their data storage and back-up needs, we wanted to focus this blog entry more on actual local storage of your business data. We want to share some advice on the technology that small businesses who have office space Toronto are looking at, to deploy their centralized data-storage needs that can store and protect their valuable information. There are three basic requirements when considering data storage – cost, capacity and speed of access. As well, there are different types of data-storage devices that help to meet different data-storage requirements. There are your basic hard drives that are available in various capacities and speeds and solid-state hard drives that do not have moving parts and are more akin to computer memory than […]
As mentioned in our last blog, this week we are going to explore the various types of data storage and help our blog followers as well as our office for rent Toronto clients to find the right solutions that work for their data. In this blog, we will be talking about the advantages and disadvantages of storing your data using a cloud server service. Even more than larger enterprises, small businesses need to concentrate on what they do best to survive and cannot afford the time to worry about losing their data or be without it for more than a few hours. This is why many small business owners choose to outsource their data storage and back-up to an online storage service so they do not have to worry about it. A few of our Toronto office space tenants use not only cloud solutions for their data storage and back-ups, but […]
Monday was an interesting day around our office space Toronto and maybe yours too. A number of our office space for rent tenants were watching live coverage of the arrival of a pair of giant pandas — sent by FedEx from China and signed for by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. The arrival looked similar to the arrival of some rock star celebrities rather than the delivery of two bamboo-eating pandas. People were watching via their smartphones, computers, laptops and even some watched the event on television. It was actually more interesting to watch those who were watching than the actual pandas themselves. While it was kind of hokey that the Prime Minister signed the FedEx waybill accepting delivery, it did remind me how important it is to have someone who is able to sign for packages when you are not in your Toronto office space – or while you are using a Toronto […]
